• Swaddling according to Startle Reflex strength :  The newborn Startle Reflex is strongest at birth, and fades as a baby grows, usually disappearing around the 8-12 week mark. If your baby has a strong startle reflex, swaddle using the Cocoon Swaddle Sack with their arms in, and as their reflex fades graduate to hands up* and eventually arms out by opening the press studs at the shoulders. • The Cocoon Swaddle Sack is made from and filled with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton that is non-toxic and gentle on sensitive and/or irritable skin. All ergoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water based dyes. The Cocoon Swaddle Sack is reviewed by the Eczema Association of Australasia (EAA) as a skin-friendly product.

   

• Care : Gentle cold machine wash in mild detergent . Do not soak or bleach . Tumble dry low . Warm iron if required . Do not dry clean

   

• When cared for properly, this product will last several years and can be used for more than one baby. Our TOGs don't lose their warmth ratings over time, but a gentle fluff up in the dryer on a low setting helps maintain the fiber's loft, allowing air to circulate more effectively.

   

• How To Use : 

  1. Lay Cocoon on flat, low surface with zip open and arm studs closed.

  2. Lay baby on top of Cocoon. Tuck legs into swaddle, and zip up with baby's hands in desired position (by sides, or across chest).

  3. To change a diaper or cool down baby, zip open from the bottom of the swaddle to release legs and lower torso. Zip closed again when finished.

  4. Romper underneath for warmth as needed.

  5. To transition to arms-out sleeping once showing signs of rolling, release arms by opening the studs on the shoulders. We suggest doing this one arm at a time over several days.
